• IP addresses

• Access times

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Route your requests to appropriate AI models

Layer integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). When you use these providers:

• Your API requests are sent directly to the provider
• Each provider has their own privacy policy
• We do not store message content from API requests
• Provider API keys are encrypted at rest

Data Retention

We retain your data:

• Account data: Until you delete your account
• Request logs: 90 days by default (configurable)
• Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized indefinitely

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Opt out of analytics

Self-Hosted Deployments

If you self-host Layer:

• You control all data storage and processing
• This privacy policy does not apply to your deployment
• You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws

Children's Privacy

Layer is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our service.
